They're going to be heading back out on a nation-wide tour, and it sounds like it's going to be great. At today's press conference, Eddie and David said that they've never sounded better. They're no Van Halen, but The Police just announced their reunion and tour. I guess it's just a good time for retired bands to bury the hatchet and get back to work for the fans. You can get The Police tickets now.

- Both David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar have had two seperate stints as the lead singers of Van Halen. Roth had the position between 1974-1985 and 1996-1997, while Hagar had it from 1985-1996 and 2004-2006.

- Van Halen is known for its "Brown Sound", generated by a combination of guitar and amplifier techniques pioneered by Eddie Van Halen.

- Van Halen holds the #7 spot on VH1's "100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock".

- Eddie Van Halen is #70 on Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Guitarists of Rock and Roll.
